General Information

Studio DraadPraat is located at Nieuwegrachtje 8hs, right in the center of Amsterdam.

Yes, just send me a message or give me a call. I'm usually there on weekdays between 11:00 and 17:00, but not always.

Absolutely! You can either pick it up at the studio or I can ship it to you.

Since everything is custom-made, I don't accept returns. But if something isn’t right, I’ll do my best to find a solution together with you.
Custom Embroidery

Almost anything! Leather, tulle, canvas, denim, cotton, faux leather—even home goods like pillows and curtains.

Most people bring their own, but I can also order clothes when you need multiple items.

Up to 2 weeks, but if you’re in a rush, let me know—I can often make it work within 2 days.

Yes, I usually send you a test or design preview before I start.

Both! You can bring your own design or idea, or we can come up with something together.

The max embroidery size is 30 x 20 cm.

I have a big range of thread colors (made from recycled PET bottles), so usually yes. I can also order a specific color for you if needed.

It depends on the size, colors, material, and complexity. Prices start at €10. You can take a look at my price list for more information.
Events & Bulk Orders

Yes! I can embroider live at your event—monograms, tiny designs, and your guests can pick their own colors and styles. Together we can come up with something nice. Take a look at the Events page for more information.

Ideally two months in advance, but just get in touch—if I can fit you in, I will.

I already keep my prices low, but for larger quantities, I’m happy to offer custom pricing if possible.
Care & Sustainability

Wash it inside out on a low temperature, and skip the dryer. That keeps the embroidery looking great.

I use thread made from recycled PET bottles and mostly work on vintage or existing garments—giving clothes a longer life.
I'm Sarah, the founder of Studio DraadPraat. I started DraadPraat because I love creating personal pieces and giving clothes a second life.
Oh, and I’m also the proud dog mom of Miep, who keeps me company in the studio.
